Um grupo que está fazendo um documentário sobre Alzheimer como tese de faculdade acompanha uma familia composta por mãe e filha, sendo que a mãe possui Alzheimer e é a pessoa que está sendo documentada. Porém, esse documentário sobre uma condição natural e facilmente explicada vai se tornando algo mais sombrio e sobrenatural conforme o tempo passa. É muito bom quando o Found Footage sobre possessão se dedica a criar um clima de tensão e dúvida acerca da condição de sua protagonista, vale também ressaltar que as atuações de todos, com foco na personagem principal Deborah, estão simplesmente incríveis e o trabalho da equipe de efeitos especiais em demonstrar o estado físico de acordo com a condição mental da protagonista é algo a parte, muito bom. Se esse filme tem algum problema seria o nível de ceticismo de alguns personagens e a forma como algumas respostas são entregues de forma programada, mas no geral é um ótimo filme de terror que usa bem do Found Footage pra contar uma história tensa e genuinamente assustadora.

First feature film I viewed in the decade was...pretty good? Unnerving as hell, and only thing stopping it from being downright fantastic imo was the third act where you get a whole lot of shaky cam and darkness Maybe I'm just trying to like a feature film I'm watching this weekend because I know I'm seeing the new The Grudge in theaters tomorrow and whew boy am I nervous about that one being quality edit: the director of this made Insidious The Last Key AND Escape Room, yikes. I'm definitely more impressed by this being worth a damn now

Love it, but i don't really click with this type of mockumentary found footage movie, don't know why it makes me bored even the movie was good. Stress a lot could turn you into an Alzheimer, i think the best thing we could do now is peace our mind so we don't go crazy like Deborah.

Night 5 of 31 Nights of Halloween One of my absolute favorite found footage horror films, The Taking of Deborah Loganoffers some truly horrifying moments, and some of the most memorable horror effects in recent memory. A truly stunning effort in the genre that needs to be seen more.
