Love & Friendship

Love & Friendship is a light and whimsical period drama from Whit Stillman, the writer/director with a strong talent for writing long, pompus, yet fantastic dialogue. His first feature Metropolitan is an adored favorite of mine and while his latest doesn't tick all the same boxes, it does make for a decent watch, however uneasy my liking for a royal period drama can be. The film is hardly eventful, but with performances and dialogue this good it's forgivable.
