My friend has been asking me for over a year to watch The Age of Adaline. Finally, she got to come over to my house and show me her favorite movie. I was expecting a typical romantic movie, or at least the Nicholas Sparks romantic movie. Instead of the typical romance, it was taken a very different way, which made the film really stand out for me. Lively was stunning in the film. I couldn't believe how good of an actress she really is, since the only thing I can recall seeing her in was The Shallows. I think that she and Huisman had fantastic chemistry throughout the entire film. I may just be really sappy, but I really did enjoy The Age of Adaline.

❝Tell me something I can hold on to forever and never let go.❞ ⊱ ──── . ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁ ⟡ ݁ . ⊹ ₊ ݁. ──── ⊰ The Age of Adaline is a pretty generic fantasy-romance; it's inoffensive and kinda average all-round. The concept is alright, but it's executed in an almost stupid way: for instance, Adaline not bothering to change up anything about her appearance in the many, many years she was alive. I wasn't a big fan of how the relationship between her and Ellis developed, because it felt like he kept pressuring her into seeing him, and to me the ending felt a tad rushed. Blake Lively's performance was decent, but not anything to write home about; I vastly preferred the acting from her colleagues in the cast, especially that of Ellen Burstyn and Harrison Ford. Overall, not too bad, but not very good, either.
