This is really the most personal film of Noé, and not necessarily "praised" like the previous ones. Love is about ... redundant ... what love involves, in which the same, sex and sentimentality go hand in hand, but with the director's trademark, being this the crudity, morbid, meaningful color palette, steady camera work and a semi-autobiographical semblance. In a nutshell, it is possibly what you imagine what they paint you or what you know about love, at the same time in a different, subjective and avant-garde way. Although, the least compromising comparing Irreversible or Enter the void, is a successful addition to the filmography of a director who creates technically provocative cinema. Many can like or apreciate it, others can hate or curse it, Love is a film that works more for its simplicity and direction. For now, i will wait the arrival of Climax (no pun intented) on my near theater.

A propósito de que recientemente salió una encuesta en la que gente de mi generación, en su mayoría, le parece incomódo e innecesario los desnudos y las escenas sexuales. Lo cual entiendo que muchas películas o series meten dichas escenas con el fin de generar morbo y al final terminan siendo innecesarias, pero hay otras que en verdad se esmeran en darle una justificación. Love es este caso en que sin estas escenas, estaría incompleta. Gaspar logra explorar sin dificultades todo el espectro que implica una relación amorosa y los deseos más bajos del ser humano. Es ahí donde nace el debate entre el amor y el sexo ¿De que puede vivir una persona?. Ese conflicto es donde se inmersan los protagonistas, y la manera en que Noé abarca este tema hace ver tan natural las escenas sexuales desde el primer minuto, incluso con un sentido artístico, algo que la industria del cine de adultos demerita con tal de vender un falso deseo. Aunque llega a no aterrizar bien la historia hasta el final, la intención esta ahí y se entiende. Love is an opposite case because without this escenes it would be incomplete. Gaspar gets to explore, without difficulty, all that a loving relationship and the most baser desires of the human being. Is where the debate begins between the love and sex, what can a person live on? These conflict is where the protagonists are living, and the way Gaspar covers this topic makes the sexual scenes look so natural from the very first minute, even with an artistic sense. Although the history doesn't to develop completely, the intention is understood. Damn Gaspar Noe, I've never seen sex so beautifully.
