Very cool. More twists and turns than a labyrinth, The Handmaiden is an intelligent film which keeps you guessing. The women s*x scenes are a bit much, at times it’s genuinely like watching a p*rn film, and the Uncle is so perverse it can make watching uncomfortable, but I know that’s the point. The amount of abuse, mistrust and dishonesty in the house is quite literally disgusting, it’s like hell. The ending is fantastic though and overall this is an excellent piece of cinema. Happy 21st to myself.

La dernière phrase du film, c'est Absolute Cinema. Sérieusement, c'est un excellent film, le scénario m'a accroché, c'est ultra bien filmé, j'ai pas vu les 2h50 passé (oui j'ai vu la version longue) et la relation entre les deux protagonistes est vraiment cool. Bref hâte de continuer la filmographie de Park Chan-wook parce que ça m'a mis en confiance.
