Shazam! (2019) is a fun and light-hearted superhero movie with a good dose of humor. The lead’s performance brings charm, but the story feels a bit cliché and predictable. Still, Shazam! is an entertaining watch if you’re looking for a casual, easygoing superhero film.

A film with a whole lot of heart, Shazamfeels like an odd addition to the franchise, as it’s the lightest and one that’s filled with the most comedy. It completely details from the setup of the DCEU, but it still is an entertaining film nonetheless. It’s hard to not fall for these characters, they’re all so lovable and ones that you want to root for. It will be interesting to see how Shazam is included into this shared universe.
