Diary entries for31

His Halloween films were what had me thinking Rob Zombie was one of the worst big-name horror directors of all time. Never have I been more confident of that than seeing 31

Started off pretty strong in the beginning when we first meet Doom-Head, but then it got kinda boring after that until when the Clowns with the chainsaws came in. I would've loved to give this a heart and 4.5/5 but then there were still some scenes that were a bit boring and some things that I didn't get, I probably wasn't paying attention that much. Idk maybe it will just change in my 2nd watch.

I really tried my hardest to write a proper review for this, and for the life of me, I cannot seem to get my thoughts together. I had even more fun watching 31 this time, and I had a blast watching it the first time. I am ecstatic to see the unrated uncut version of this since it's going to be a blast. Hopefully, eventually I will write a proper review for this, but it doesn't look like I'll be writing it soon.

I've been trying to write a review for this film for the last day, and for some reason, I can't conjure enough words to describe how much I loved this film. It was my most anticipated film of the year, even being more anticipated than The Handmaiden (which I can't wait to see). Zombie goes back to his roots in 31, with the film feeling more like House of 1000 Corpses. It's been a while since I actually had this much fun watching a film. The sets are stunning, the cinematography is heavenly, the violence is raw, and it really feels like a Rob Zombie film. I know that this version was the edited theatrical version, so hopefully Zombie is able to realase his NC-17 Director's cut of the film. I definitely know I will be watching this again within the next couple days, and hopefully I'll be able to actualy write a decent review. 31 is insane fun that I can't wait to see again.
