Diary entries forCase 39
Case 39
I remember that Case 39 was one of the first horror movies that I watched. After watching it, I thought that it was one of the greatest movies I had ever seen. I was super excited to show other people this movie, trying to get my friends to see how good it was. After around 5 years, I finally come back after buying the Blu Ray. While it wasn't as good as I recalled, it still wasn't a terrible thriller. All of those years ago, I classified this as a horror movie. I thought that it was scary. Now, I think that I'd call it a supernatural thriller. There really aren't any scares, other than a few jump scares. I'd be much more comfortable calling this a thriller instead of a horror movie. I remember how scary some of the scenes were, especially the final scene with Ian McShane. They weren't necessarily scary now, but they still were really tense scenes. Zellwegger seems out of place in this. Going to a film like this seems something like a desperate attempt to still be in film honestly. A big name like Renee Zellwegger in a small horror film is very strange, and it was prevalent in her role. She really seemed uninspired throughout the entire film, even during the film's emotional and tense scenes. I think that this role could have been a really good one for a new actress, instead of a big name actress. Case 39 may not be as spectacular as I remember it being, but I still did enjoy it. It's a good entry into the creepy child genre. I was excited to tell others to watch this years ago, and today I'd be a little hesitant to tell people to watch it. It's an good film, but a film that I won't be visiting for another few years.

Puta filme bosta, perca de tempo
Case 39
