The Walking Dead

if looks could kill.. well it'd probably look something like this :P *bdm-tss* Honestly the intensity of Boris Karloff's stare really sells the deep supernatural guilt it elicits in it's victims, i was in total awe at the piano scene about halfway through, the way they are forced to reckon with the inherent humanity of his musical performance in tandem with their own guilt for their part in his murder, all through silent stares ... *chef's kiss* and while there were some parts of the film that dragged or felt meh or at times felt slightly derivative of Karloff's performance as the creature, if anything was perfect about this film, it was that scene. One thing about the second half of this film is that in a way it's almost a proto-final destination. At least in the nature of the deaths, that they are not done by anyone in particular, rather that an invisible force beyond our mortal understanding has it out for these men, that it swiftly carries out its justice/wrath through accidents. Additionally, the fact that John Ellman can somehow harness this deadly power by asking a single question adds a layer of metaphor to his post-death form that i appreciate, he literally haunts, living up to his existence as a living "ghost". anyway... if your free after this,..what if we… abolished the death penalty .. aha ha, just kidding.. unless..? 🫣
