Sleepy Hollow

Sleepy Hollow
One of Timmy B’s most underrated films, I never see anyone talk about this one. I think it might be my favorite of his work. Such a visually stunning movie; the gothic spooky vibes, the costume and set design, the practical effects, just an absolute pleasure to watch. I don’t think I’ve seen so many chopped off heads in a single movie before. I also love that it doesn’t take itself too seriously, the campiness adds to the charm, much like other horror films from the same era. Despite all the campiness and damn-near comical gore, the acting performances here are very solid; especially Depp with those razor sharp cheekbones, and Walken with fangs. The 3rd act does drag a bit, and the climax is somewhat predictable, but still effective. Overall, this film is a super fun watch and a certified spooky season classic. I can’t wait to watch it again the next time there’s a perfect rainy night at home. Hats (and heads) off to you, T.B.
Sleepy Hollow
Sleepy Hollowhonestly is a perfect film for these fall days. Burton does such a wonderful job at crafting a world that truly feels like we’re living within Washington Irving’s story. An absolute must-watch for the holiday!
Sleepy Hollow
Sleepy Hollow is a staple in Tim Burton’s filmography, creating a gothic wonderland. Abundandt with atmosphere, Sleepy Hollow succeeds in creating an adult-oriented version of the classic Headless Horseman tale. This still remains to be one of my favorite films from Tim Burton, and is a great rewatch, and I may have to go through his filmography again soon.

Night 16 of 31 Nights of Halloween Sleepy Hollow One of my favorite Burton films, Sleepy Hollow manages to be eerie and creepy while still being interesting. The whole movie is fantastic, feeling very creepy and realistic. This is the perfect late night movie for not jump scares, but genuinely being frightened.
Sleepy Hollow
this was no beautifully whimsical and gothly atmospheric with lots of beheading (yay!) and a pretty blonde cherubic heroine in a corset.
Sleepy Hollow
