AH SO CRAZY HOW CAN THIS FILM SO HEARTWARMING YET DEPRESSING, i almost crying. Walaupun ada sedikit perasaan Stockholm Syndrome yang bikin kesel. Tapi ya gimana 7 tahun di sekap begitu sampe punya anak. Tapi jujur happy banget pas liat mereka balik ke Real world, not the dirty no space room. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! 💥

Room
Room focuses on the relationship of a mother and son, with the son knowing a lie his entire life, to then be exposed to the real truth. This film could have went a completely different way. They could have went with the typical clichés that many films fall into, but Room does not fall into this trap. Instead, you get the emotional story, showing the relationship and bond that mother and son have, when isolated for many years. Larson and Tremblay have honest chemistry. They both compliment each other beautifully, creating the bond between mother and son. Their performances are charged, making them seem even closer. They open and close the film with amazing performances, the most memorable of the film. Room doesn't fall into the traps that most films fall into, but rather brings the complex situation into simplicity. The performances are truly stunning, making this film one of the most memorable of the year.

Lenny Abrahamson successfully captures the point of view; fear of letting your kid loose in the cruel world and fear of learning about the world
Room
Onde o Quarto seria a Caverna e Jack seria o prisioneiro, onde não acredita no mundo fora do quarto, no mundo real. E mesmo que conte a verdade, não consegue acreditar em algo que nunca viu. Talvez esse filme não tenha sido baseado em fatos, mas com certeza algo parecido já tenha acontecido em algum momento da história.

❝There are so many things out here. And sometimes it's scary. But that's ok. Because it's still just you and me...❞ · · ──────⊹⊱ ✦ ⊰⊹────── · · I haven't read the book in so long, but it haunts me to this day. And the film adaptation is just as harrowing. Room is genuinely so disturbing because it's told through Jack's perspective, with his innocence only serving to heighten the horrors he and Joy especially are forced to endure. Brie Larson and Jacob Tremblay are outstanding in this film, and while Brie completely deserved her Oscar, I do think Jacob also should've won a major award because he's unbelievably talented. And so while Room is an excellent film, it's not one I can stomach rewatching often.
