Much goofier than I expected, but has a timelessness to it. Most interesting De Niro performance I’ve seen in a while too, Scorsese really may be the goat

It seems Scorsese and De Niro can’t make a bad film together, as TKOC is another classic. The dark nature has inspired many others, the acting is superb and plot is gripping. A truly great picture which almost anyone will enjoy.

Robert De Niro delivers a strong performance as a strange, almost tragic figure, and the blend of satire and psychodrama works extremely well. The King of Comedy sometimes feels uncomfortably real—and that's precisely what makes it so powerful and special.

I was having a hard time when I watched this because this movie is about embarrassing himself in front of his idol and it was really awkward and uncomfortable yet I still watched even though I cringed a bit but turns out I love it. How they make the audiences feel uncomfortable with the awkward encounter, they did it and I love it.
