83/100 A powerful film with an incredible performance from Tom Cruise. That man is such an underrated actor it’s a shame. His body of work with all incredible directors is remarkable and I’m glad he’s getting back to acting in more serious roles with the upcoming Alfonso Cuaron film and more, not that Mission Impossible films don’t display good acting - part of why they’re so good is because of the acting from everyone but again the emphasis is on the action and hence this is secondary. This film does not go in the direction I anticipated it to be. I thought it would have him become an activist against war around 2/3rds of the film and then show a bit of his journey into this but this is more a film about how he finally knows what is right and decides to act on it. This film is about a man who had the courage to come back from such a horrifying war and instead of getting consumed by the trauma of what he did and what happened to him, he fought, learned and decided to act against it. This film doesn’t just show him as a good man but shows him as a man in his purest form, a person who makes mistakes but learns and repents and gets back up to do something about it. William Dafeo was great in this too. I don’t think any man can do a political and modern American history thriller better than Oliver Stone. This is a tough watch but a necessary one. I had kept this downloaded for so long and I’m a massive fan of Tom Cruise but I knew this was gonna be very serious so I kept putting it off. I’m glad I finally got to it. The music is so good and the whole ending sequence is beautiful.

La potente actuación de Tom Cruise sobre pasa la reflexiva postura de Oliver Stone, quien por momento encuentra un buen hilo conductor y por otro se siente que esta contando una redundante historia una y otra ves, para el ultimo tramo de la película ya solo queda desembocar la historia en lo que se predice desde el principio de esta .

Cruise and Dafoe great combo, great performances and actually really nice writing also just a good depiction of man. Everytime i watch some shit like this It just another reason for me to say niggas could never get me to serve, ever.
