Nowhere to Hide

*20 minutes in* There's no way they can keep this going. *1 hr 30 min later* Wheeeeeze... An exhausting ride with any number of cinematic cues and references thrust throughout the kinetic space.

Nowhere to Hide

“You have the right to have a lawyer and the right to remain silent. Ican't remember the rest, fuck.” Very much lo-fi in its execution, Nowhere to Hidetells the story of Detective Woo and his team on the trail of an elusive killer. It plays out like a sort of comedy / police procedural hybrid, and while it may not lack any style it’s definitely held back by its hard to follow story and obvious technical drawbacks. That being said, Nowhere to Hideis a surprisingly solid piece of entertainment and the directors commitment to his distinct visual flare is nothing short of commendable. The final fight is also wonderfully fun to watch, if not a little melodramatic.
