Night of the Demons
Night 16 of 31 Nights of Halloween Night of the Demons has been a horror film that I have been meaning to watch for years. Having heard about it many years ago, and having it recommended by several people, I decided that it was finally time to see the film that everybody was talking about. I'm really glad that I decided to watch it, because it's a crazy, but fun, horror film. Naturally, the acting and the effects aren't the best, but that doesn't mean that it's not a good horror film. It has characters that you want to root for, even if some of them aren't the best, and has some great demon makeup. Night of the Demons definitely is a film that I want to show to my roommates, since it's one of those party horror films that everyone will enjoy, and will be better with a group.

COMEDYx52(025) (https://letterboxd.com/allbeef/list/comedyx52025/) #10 of 52 | Watch a comedy film that largely takes place at night (https://letterboxd.com/lastcubscout/list/the-ritching-hour-one-crazy-night-movies/genre/comedy/). This would be fun to watch on Halloween with a big group of people who love old cheesy horror films.
Night of the Demons
I remember seeing the cover of this for years growing up and thinking it looked super creepy. Well, little me was wrong. But it’s wasa lot of fun. Great ending!
Night of the Demons
I don't hate it, which surprises me, it has the same sense of campiness as the original, and I appreciate the use of SFX makeup. I appreciate it. Is it better than the original? Nah. However, its own thing.
Night of the Demons
80s slasher cheese. Great soundtrack. Animated opening credits. Decent to cool special effects. All of that equals to a fun watch. I am very happy I was recommended this film.
Night of the Demons
#26 of 31 Days of Madness: October 2017 (https://boxd.it/1fIvM) This late-eighties feast of haunted house horror (sorry, possessed house horror) and walking hideous spirits is more or less a fun, hellish experience that certainly does the best it can with such a shoddy script and characters. You know the story: a group of teens party in a spooky abandoned house and chaos ensues—the seduction starts and spits out its venom, this one featuring scream queen Linnea Quigley in her usual and pretty ditzo costume possessed by evil. It doesn't help that Angela's party occurs on Halloween night and you can tell when Quigley first strikes after possession that it really doesn't help—these demons are out to play. The lack of great characters is the thing that really lets the whole thing down, despite the excellence of its thrilling third act—picture a group of possessed (and ugly) teenagers strutting towards a blonde in an Alice in Wonderland costume—all of it leaving a pretty satisfying conclusion to a somewhat crawling but creepy first hour of horror and set-up. Nevertheless, this thing kicks ass in a lot of places. 3.3/5
