Demonlover
Yet another strong film from Assayas, Demonlover is a very different type of film than Summer Hours, seeming to be more of a neo-noir thriller, rather than family drama. It's full of twists and turns that I was not expecting, and an ending that left me shocked. It's clear why this film is a cult classic now, and I cannot wait to revisit this film again to really see what's under the surface, since there's a lot to unearth.
Demonlover
The third act goes off the rails in a way I didn’t particularly find interesting. Moralizing without saying anything interesting. Nielsen and Sevigny are both quite good.
