September

The melodrama is real in this one. Reminds me a lot like Interiors except I think I liked this much more for its more involved dialogue. Interiors focused too much on the aesthetics of a "drama" and September utilized the effects of a "drama". It pans out much like a play. and saves itself from boredom with a classic Woody Allen affair and a strong performance coming from Elaine Stritch and a neurotic Mia Farrow played to the point of breaking without breaking. Feels very much like a Ingmar Bergman film or something that could've been done by Noah Baumbach, and I wonder if there will ever be a remake for it since it's such an underrated drama. Anyway, one for the Woody Allen fans who appreciate some of his more dramatic stuff.
