But does it come with fries and a drink? You know, it's a fairly run-of-the-mill, low-budget noir. But I wonder because it dips so evenly into genre convention that the bursts of Richard Conte or a certain harrowing scene or a perfect fog-drenched nightscape are heightened as a result, pulling it up and out into compelling cinema. Also didn't even recognize a younger, clean-shaven Lee Van Cleef until well into it!
