Diary entries forA Face in the Crowd
A Face in the Crowd
I’m a bit hot and cold when it comes to A Face in the Crowd. Andy Griffith truly is a force to be reckoned with, presenting one of the most captivating performances that I’ve ever seen. On the other hand, the film felt far too long, with a message that slaps audinces in the face, rather than embracing any semblance of subtelty. There’s a really great film in here, it just feels like there’s a bit too much fluff, when it could have been cut down to really make a sleek film. That being said, when it’s good, it’s GOOD, making it worth the watch. This is probably going to be a film that it going to grow more on me the more I think about it, and is one tha I’ll certainly have to give another go to in the future.
A Face in the Crowd
Did NOTknow Andy Griffith had that in him. Such a biting film, that stays just as relevant (unfortunately, maybe more so?) today as it was almost 70 years ago.
