Raw Deal

Noir wrapped in a love story Joe is a fugitive who escapes from prison and becomes emotionally entangled with two women, Pat, who loves him deeply and helps him escape, and Ann, a gentle-hearted woman whose nature clearly stands in contrast to Joe’s. The film shows how Joe slowly softens because of Ann during their journey together, even though there is already a devoted woman beside him who would die for him. Ann is the one who makes Joe more human, more aware of small acts of kindness and goodness. In the end, Joe tries to forget Ann and continue his life with Pat, but his heart cannot lie he loves Ann, and that is what he truly wants.
