The Borderlands
To my surprise a few jump-scares here and there but the story is lacking for substance. But I have personally always loved POV shots and think it adds a whole mew level of depth where the viewer feels more apart of the journey
The Borderlands
I've seen my share of found footage horror films. The Borderlands happens to be one that constantly stays with me, even after watching it years ago. The ending is something that I have always remembered, despite forgetting almost everything about the rest of the film. When a film's climax is something you can distinctly remember, it really did its job of entertaining. And that's exactly what The Borderlands does. The comedy, when there is some, is actually pretty amusing. But when the film gets scary, it gets terrifying. It was fun watching this film again, as I had forgotten a majority of what had happened, so it was like I was watching the film for the first time again. While the ending wasn't as good as I had remembered it had been, it's still a climax that is unforgettable. For the found footage out there, this is one of the better films, offering some truly spooky elements that I was in the mood to watch.

I'm done with the "found footage" genre. Too many films are following it now, making it overdone. The Borderlands is a found footage style movie. And it's nothing too special. Granted, it had an interesting premise, but it didn't make sense with it's conclusion. I still don't understand what happened in the end of this film. It was eerie. It was spooky. It had some parts that made me feel uneasy. But ultimately, this wasn't anything special.
