Wouldn’t call it perfection as many people might say. The movie feels slow at the start, but slowly raises its bar and when they reveal the twist, you’re left mind-blown. The ending twist was amazing. If you’re into paradox stuff, just go for it

88/100 Check out my top 50 thrillers - https://boxd.it/p7sYS Okay so let me try to get this straight. It’s a loop. It begins with Ethan Hawke and ends with Ethan Hawke. Ethan Hawke is the child he kidnapped who was born to Sarah Snook i.e. Ethan Hawke who is actually the child herself. So she gave birth to herself. In a way this was asexual reproduction except it’s not cloning, it’s you creating you. Ethan Hawke is the bomber because his kit didn’t decommission and so Robertson uses him to start this whole series of events and create this transformation. Okay I’m going in circles like this movie. What the fuck have I just witnessed. Regardless though, it’s peak. Tell you what Germans know how to make a time travel movie or show (Dark I’m talking about you). The makeup on Sarah Snook is absolutely remarkable btw. I legit thought that was how she looked in 2014 and she became as beautiful as she is now after some surgery or what not but no, she was the same. Wow what a movie. Can’t believe this was lying in my downloaded was so fucking long. This might be the first review I will add a spoiler tag to.

Kid you not, 97 minutes is all Predestination needs to dominate the most absurd and hypnotic storyline of 2014 without vacating a single pulse. And the time travel aspect - do not worry - is genuinely awesome. Ethan Hawke is officially a cool time-traveller with a great 'stache.
