The Adventures of Bullwhip Griffin

The Adventures of Bullwhip Griffinis a whimsical adventure, one that is very quirky, almost to a fault. It has the typical heroes and villains found within Disney films of the time, along with the songs and jokes that accompanied these films. It definitely felt like a classic Disney production, but the whimsy of this film makes it stand out. There is a lot going on with the plot, as there are many adventures these characters get caught up in, but it borders being exhausting to watch. There’s a lot of plot to keep a hold on, and it feels like the filmmakers tried to make an epic, but wanted the shorter runtime, so they tried to shove as much as they could into this to make it feel like an adventure epic. There’s some interesting editing choices, especially in the final act of the film, which add humor to the story, but takes you out of the, more-or-less, realism that most of the film is rooted in. That being said, it’s still a very fun film, one that I’m surprised I hadn’t heard much about, but is one that is certainly worth the watch.
