Diary entries forCrimson Peak
Crimson Peak
o maior inimigo de todos é o incesto
Crimson Peak
A sumptuous film filled with... well, nothing else that lives up to the richness of its environment.
Crimson Peak
You have no fucking idea what I felt the instant Edith and Thom held hands for the first time before dancing, LITERALLY BUTTERFLIES Am I giving this movie 4 stars just because I had a major bi panic with Mia Wasikowska and Tom Hiddleston? Yes. Also because the aesthetic and costumes are stunningly gorgeous PD. Thank you Mia Wasikowska for being so pretty in that white gown and your enormous curly blonde hair
Crimson Peak
lindamente trágico.
Crimson Peak
a little too long and a little too slow but its alright i liked the ghosts even though the fx were so/so
Crimson Peak
GDT is quickly becoming one of my favorite directors of all time, he cooked with this! Somehow I am always increasingly astonished at the amount of style his filmmaking is drenched in, the macabre/gothic horror vibes are immaculate here.
Crimson Peak
Crimson Peak is astonishing. Absolutely astonishing. This film, as I recall from my first viewing, was amazing. I was absolutely engaged throughout, while sadly having to go on my phone while in theaters, as we had a crisis going on at the time. Now that I own the Blu-Ray, I was able to pay much more attention. This film is based on details. From the script to the sets, this film is all about the detail. It seems like no detail was omitted, keeping this film extremely realistic and ultimately believable. The details on the spirits are magnificent, highlighting the difference that these spirits have from your "typical" spirit. The script is extremely detailed, focusing on small things, making the film seem extremely personal and not broad. This entire film is just amazing. The sets are breathtakingly beautiful, the performances are strong (Chastain seeming to steal the entire film), and the direction of del Toro makes Crimson Peak a gorgeous gothic romance that will be remembered for a long time. **Note: Before watching this film, I finally was able to watch the Hitchcock film Rebecca, and now I understand where people see aspects of that film within Crimson Peak. You can clearly see that that film is a huge influence in how del Toro directed this film.**
Crimson Peak
Night 15 of 31 Nights of Halloween Crimson Peak Gosh, this is the gothic horror I have been waiting for. While it's not entirely a horror, the horror elements are still very present and are very effective. The cinematography honestly blew me away, taking my breath away for the entirety of the movie. The cast was stellar, with Jessica Chastain being the shining beacon throughout. Although it isn't the horror it is portrayed to be, it is a fantastic and beautiful mystery/thriller that honestly blew me away.
Crimson Peak
It's not a ghost story. It's love story, the ghost is a metaphor for the past. the storyline was predictable for me yet the cinematography brings the chill out of me. perfect performance by Chastain yet not surprising for Wasikowska role since the Stoker (2013) Its just like her role in the Stoker.
Crimson Peak
You lied to me. I did. You poisoned me. I did. You said you loved me. I do. If that was said to me, I fear I would fall in love over again, nevermind his incestous deranged sister.
