was a bit long but still so interesting and captivating i loved it

it has to be lee doesn’t it? like this whole time how did i not know that they had a prime suspect who it has to be. (i haven’t looked at all into the case that much just know it’s unsolved) anyways this was great. jake gylenhaal is great in like everything he is in, and ruffallo + rdj gave great performances as well. the last act with jake g running the investigation on his own was exhilarating. u felt the stress and tension with him, and the frustration when leads dried up. great watch

An excellent film which keeps you thoroughly entertained throughout. I really wish we knew who the Zodiac killer was, but I think a large part about the interest is that we don’t know. Fincher does an excellent job at creating suspense and a truly interesting picture, this is one of his best films and i enjoyed watching it for a second time. Oh, and Jake Gyllenhaal is absolutely phenomenal in this.

i legitimately spoiled my first-time viewing of this when i spotted John Carroll Lynch in the cast listing and was like "oh it's def him, i don't remember the last time he ever played someone who was just normal"

Lots of chatter lately about keeping runtimes to a "tight 90", but I would like to commend those who can pull off a "tight 160" -- a deluge of visual information and staging which nonetheless flows smooth as silk. Everything felt good here, I loved the process and the manner in which it was all laid out. Longer runtimes can be ok. (But what do I know, I sat through The Ten Commandments way too many times as a kid)

Bad screenwriters sometimes can really do nice mystery material for great directors. This is one of that examples.
