A 40s classic, Laura did everything right. The acting is superb, the characters are unique and interesting and the plot is phenomenal. The twists and turns keep you always thinking and the ending is also amazing. One of the best films I’ve seen this year.

Muito do que ela representa existe da mente de um homem, do desejo e cobiça de outro e uma obsessão mórbida de outro. Adoro como a investigação desse tem contornos mais acentuados. A investigação se dá por meio de relatos, provas e um desenho, metafórico e real, da pessoa que Laura foi e ainda é. Amo como todos os personagens que orbitam ela tentam definir quem ou que ela foi e o final pode ser definido tanto como um ato de loucura ou de amor.

Ok, ended up liking this more than I originally expected. (Don't think I'd realized it was a wartime film when I first put it on the list to see.) Appreciate the shift midway through, so what would've been a fair flashback murder case becomes a much more fulfilling cross-section of obsession and possesion by all those Men. Charming to see a younger Vincent Price going with a little Southern inflection in his delivery.

What a film! Engrossing and hypnotic, Laura shows the power that film noir can have, and how good these films are at storytelling. A powerhouse of a film, and one of the better films that I’ve seen in quite some time. It feels so good and refreshing to see something other than horror, which I absolutely love, but this film really was a great palate cleanser. Laura really is one hell of a film.

Amo a vibe de filmes de investigação, Laura e um bom exemplo disso, aquele Suspense para descobri quem na verdade "matou" a laura, É muito bom, Por mais que eu ache o detetive "mark" lento demais, mais ele entrega uma ótima química em cena com a protagonista, juntos com demais personagens que brilham muito, Sem falar no plot que eu mesma não esperava, eu gostei muito Oba: Laura leva o filme nas costas. Gene Tierney and Vincent Price together in one film? Beautiful. Had a good time watching this. And I'm happy the plot wasn't predictable for me.

Beautifully shot noir detective film. Loved seeing Vincent Price in a role that wasn’t horror related. Fantastic camera work by Preminger and LaShelle.
