Sin City: A Dame to Kill For
No once innocent at Sin City. Sin city is a city where doing sinful things is not prohibited at all, in this film you can see a city full of various kinds of sins. I don't even watch the first movie before watching this, i interested to watch this movie at Cinema because it has unique film and poster, but i'm not yet 17 years old or older, and I also don't have time to watch this movie, but i'm here now watching this movie. Watching this movie is likely you read a comic, all you can see is just black and white (with red), i actually like the concept of this film but it's kinda messy and too confusing to me. Only Nancy, Lady Gaga, and that gambling man who save this film for me.
Sin City: A Dame to Kill For
Earlier this year, I finally watched the movie Sin City. I was astonished by everything from it. I didn't think there was going to be anything like it again. Then, I read that a sequel has been made to this film, 8 years after the original was released. I was so excited! Just getting to see a film like Sin City was going to be something amazing. So, the film comes out in the movies and I can't see it. It comes out on DVD and I still couldn't get it. Finally, I was able to watch it. It was totally worth the wait. Eva Green is my favorite actress, and this film shows why she is my favorite. She was just spectacular as Ava. Even though I have never read the comics, I believe that Eva was perfect for the part. As for the rest of the people, I was so happy to see the familiar faces and new ones. I grew to enjoy watching these characters and loved to see them back on the screen. The style of filming is just amazing. It literally blows you away at how amazing the graphics are. You just feel like you are in a dream world. This dream world is corrupt and dangerous, but still an amazing dream world. I hope to see another Sin City film, since both films have been amazing. Granted, this didn't do good at the box office, but I still hope that they will release another film, showing the rest of the characters' stories. Need a definition for neo-noir? Look to these films to see an amazing example of it.
Sin City: A Dame to Kill For
48/100 The first movie I’ve seen in remux, the one of that I know at least and I must say, I do notice a difference but this was 1080p. In 4K, I might not. Miho and Marv would be the invincible couple because they simply kill everyone in their path. This film’s timeline is all over the place, it acts as both a prequel and a sequel and does a shit job at both. Powers Booth was the star of the show, excellent job as the villain but the rest fell short, at least in terms of their character writing. Jessica Alba was hot but she was not badass, not one bit. Josh Brolin was not nearly as good as Clive Owen. It was quite an uninteresting shitshow. Eva Green’s storyline was boring as hell, she had nothing to show except for her body. Robert Rodriguez did a shit job with her. Insane drop-off compared to the first film which wasn’t a masterpiece by any means but kept you engaged and the narration wasn’t a bother but in this, the narration kept going on and on. And that Jo-Gordon Levitt storyline was pointless, like we don’t want the harsh reality in Sin City because you’ve shown us how it works, we want accomplished vengeance but I guess that’s why Jessica Alba was there. Some things make sense and many don’t but it’s not one you should waste your time pondering about.

Cult of Personality 2023 (https://boxd.it/jw0oo) #9 of 52 | Jaime King (https://letterboxd.com/actor/jaime-king/) Didn't enjoy this as much as the first movie. Something about the stories just isn't right, too disjointed I guess. I can appreciate the style choice that they carried over as well, but there's a couple times where it just looks bad. Now I'm doubting whether I ever truly liked the first movie, going to have to give that a rewatch.
