O reizinho do rock, Aqui foi muito diferenciado, Esse álbum é o meu favorito do Elvis, E agora vendo ele em tela ficou melhor ainda, a propósito, O Elvis [chad] atua até que bem, O filme começa dinâmico da metade pro fim já não fica lanto, Mas o que vale é a boa experiência de ouvir o blue hawaí Obs: Não deram outra sunga pro Elvis o filme todo??? Eu nem tô reclamando e só duvida mesmo kkk 🌴 Ps: O final ele bem príncipe hawaino 🤩 até a anitta copiou esse momento

A pleasant enough film. Perhaps somewhat obviously outdated in a lot of its politics, but the movie is mostly an excuse to have Elvis hang out and sing Hawaiian influenced songs, and it succeeds at that so…🤷♂️ Also, Angela Lansbury is younger in this than I am today, and she still looks 20 years older than me, all that lead paint and asbestos must’ve really fucked with people. Elvis speaking pidgin with that voice of his is unintentionally hilarious.

It takes 30 minutes for Elvis to sing along to a music box, 𝘊𝘢𝘯'𝘵 𝘏𝘦𝘭𝘱 𝘍𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯 𝘓𝘰𝘷𝘦 The Asian butler’s name is Ping Pong. “𝘖𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘹𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘥..” Paying attention more to the sets in these Presley films as they provide a context to a plastic America that I love so much as I’ve been Pinterest-ing my way through revising the furniture in my room. The songs move through this film, almost back to back, in a way that makes this more musical than the other films. Realization: Presley is never Presley in his own films. He is always other men. Perhaps because. at the time, other men wanted to embody Presley. Did this film influence teens to do as they wish? To pursue careers they actually wanted for themselves? To come back from military service to realize that perhaps living and loving by the ocean with good white fish and open drives gives bounty to the flesh of your skin?
