Another movie about nuclear bombs, the explicity left me speechless and goosebumps. This movie also teaches us about nuclear bombs, their effects, and how they explode. It was incredibly horrifying and traumatizing, with all the rotting corpses and screams of suffering people in the radiation-filled sky. Hopefully, there will NEVER be another war involving nuclear bombs.

its hard for me to find a proper rating since i feel a bit conflicted. i understand the want to show the raw horror of war, specifically nuclear war in this case. and dont get me wrong, i do find the way this was shot and directed interesting, especially the beginning: the upcoming doom is being foretold in broadcast everyday and nobody really bats an eye until it hits them. very realistic, considering its still happening the same way now. but i wonder, does it need to be shown from a western perspective for people to understand and care? because to me, reading about and seeing reports from hiroshima was already absolutely horrifying, i dont think i need a ficitonal scenario set in the uk to show me that

Threads is a film that I haven’t been able to shake. It sits in the back of my head, lingering, haunting me. This is one of the most realistic, and bleak, looks at what could happen because of a nuclear strike. It may have been released in the 80’s, when nuclear war with the Soviet Union really was a threat, but it’s still relevant today. It’s nothing short of horrifying, and is a film I don’t plan on revisiting anytime soon. It’s a fantastic film, but one that is simply bleak to its core.

فلم مأساوي فعلاً وكثير مشاهد كانت مؤلمه لكن هل الفلم يبغى يوصل معاناة المواطنين ام يقدم حرب ؟ من الظاهر بالفلم انها الاولى، مع ذلك ذهب 70٪ من وقت الفلم على تفاصيل مالها داعي ابداً ومقدمه كأنها وثائقي او نشرة اخبار ولا عندي مشكله بالطريقه على العكس حاجه مميزه واعجبتني بالبدايه لكن اذا اخذت اغلب وقت الفلم شيء سيئ من رأيي عشان كذا دائماً راح اقدر الافلام الحربيه اللي ماتتعمق بالحرب واطرافها وتتجاهلهم تماماً، اذا تبغى توصلي معاناة الشخصيات التفاصيل المتعلقه بالحرب مامنها اي فايده ابداً مجرد حشو لا فائده منه

Bleak and dispiriting, though it’s age and TV Movie origin shows it’s seams, especially in regards to pacing. Worth a viewing nonetheless. Frankly I’m somewhat surprised by the content given that in the US much of this would never see the airwaves in anything other than cable.
