Back to the Future Part II

This is also fun but it's starting to make me dizzy because the plot is overlapping with the previous film, maybe I'll skip it or hold off to watch the last one. I hope that in 2015 it will be like what is in this movie, some of the depictions of 2015 here really happened and it gave me goosebumps, Oh Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale, your guys vision is so cool!

Back to the Future Part II

Back to the Future 2 completely fascinated me with its futuristic ideas and complex time-travel story. It's fun to discover the different versions of the future and the past, and the familiar characters are once again super likeable. The crazy gadgets and the vision of the future are particularly cool. However, the plot sometimes seems a bit convoluted and confusing, making it difficult to follow everything exactly. Nevertheless, the film is an exciting sequel that's a lot of fun and complements the trilogy well.

Back to the Future Part II

I would honestly just use the time machine to go back and make sure that George W. Bush had gotten hit by that shoe.

Back to the Future Part II

To speak about the Back to The Future Trilogy, I have to share my thoughts on all of them in one place. I watch these films, at the very least, once a year. All in a row – all on the same night. Before I get into my reviews, I’m going to first speak on the trilogy as a whole because a lot of my compliments cross each film and I view all 3 films as one landmark in storytelling There’s so much to love about these films. The amazing score by Alan Silvestri (now known for his Avengers Endgame score). The iconic performances by Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd and Thomas F. Wilson (who stands out in Part II and shows diverse acting in Part III). The fantastic performances by other semi-main players – Crispin Glover and Lea Thompson. The amazing effects and near seamless VFX by the awe inspiring ILM (thank you George Lucas) The recurring events of each part of the story as a way to mimic how history repeats itself (Marty waking up in shock, the Tannen lineage covered in shit). The references to each part of the film throughout all 3 films to make it flow as one complete story. The hoverboard, Nike self-lacing shoes, the DeLorean Time Machine – all cemented as amazing pieces in Pop Culture history. The quotes too! There’re so many damn good quotes and that’s thanks to 3 amazing scripts/story treatments by Robert Zemeckis and screenwriter Bob Gale. There’s a love for the craft and a dedication to the world they built, always upping itself while honoring the lore. Always careful not to retcon something and leave no loose ends. It’s just absolutely brilliant! Below, I’ll give my thoughts on each part of the trilogy (each review linked to the rating seen above). All the major compliments have been addressed above Back to The Future is possibly one of the greatest films of all time. It’s an incredible introduction to a larger story and takes it’s time to build the world before getting into the Time Travel stuff. Obviously, this film is a classic and phenomenal Back to The Future Part II is possibly the greatest sequel of all time (yes, even trumping Empire Strikes Back in my opinion). The opening of the film is a re-shot version of the ending to Back to The Future but it’s far faster paced, throwing us right back into the world of Hill Valley. It fleshes out the story in an amazing way by presenting Marty with an actual character arc (instead of just him having to solve a problem). Having the film go between the “Future” and then back to an altered 1985 and finally BACK TO THE TIMELINE OF THE FIRST FILM. It adds even more weight to the first film – both for Marty’s own sake and the sake of Hill Valley. It’s amazing to see the first film’s events play out with a new plot happening adjacent to it. It’s spectacular in so many ways and on top of that – it has one of my favorite endings to a film ever (plus a preview of the next film! How cool is that?) Back to The Future Part III is a perfect finale (topping the likes of Return of The Jedi and Spider-Man 3). The threat of the previous films is gone – there’s no possible end to Marty’s family or a potential Biff Tannen themed Hell for Hill Valley. This film is all about Marty and Doc Brown saving themselves but it goes further than that. It takes time to breathe and let us relax a little after the last 2 Parts before giving us an amazing finale that incorporates everything from each film (the DeLorean, the Hoverboard used to save Clara and the train used to push Marty “Back to The Future” in specific). Then on top of all that, they play “The Power of Love” from Part 1 to fully wrap it up. It wraps up the series in a beautiful destroyed DeLorean set piece and with actual character progression for both Marty and Doc. Then it ends with a heartfelt monologue and the warmest feeling you could feel. I love this movie a lot. I love that it’s different than Part I and II to differentiate the story and I love the Wild West landscape/time period. It’s a beautiful closer to the franchise The “Back to The Future” Trilogy is a staple of good storytelling, amazing craftmanship on and off camera and a whole lot of love. If you haven’t seen them, what the hell are you doing?

Back to the Future Part II

idk it is a little harder to watch knowing that we had NONE of ts in 2015 😭 but it was still a good movie, they made it work, although the first 30 minutes were a little rough. the score was great again, they’re making the concept consistent, and i think it was a great sequel to the first movie with great callbacks. i’m not sure what to expect for the third movie

Back to the Future Part II

70/100 This is a very well made film but quite poorly written. They made Biff the star, Billy Zane a cheap thug and made MJF play his daughter as well. Tells you all about the film really.  However, they really got the timeline concept spot on which is why every time travel movie from then on has used this concept. They changed the future but messed up the present. The whole alternate timeline sequence incorporating the second film into the first film was very well done. Overall, a decent film but quite poor compared to the first.

Back to the Future Part II

The first was definitely better I did really like the future parts tho I didn't really like the whole biff thing But I did enjoy them going back to the time period the first movie was based in because it gives it a suspenseful feeling. Excited to watch the wild west one especially since the ending of this showed footage from it. First movie I've watched that actually does that.
