"Without struggle, there is no progress." Overwrought, melodramatic, and incredibly messy. However, there is a certain charm to the film's earnest portrayal of its characters and exploration of its themes. But hey, this is America. Black directors should be allowed to create their very own Crash (2004) too. Strange that this came out just 4 years before Columbine though. Eerily similar events and motives.
