Call Me Mother

“sa palagay mo sapat na yung iniisip mo lang siya?” its crazy how they keep saying na kapakanan lang ng bata ang iniintindi nila pero sobrang lala ng paghatak nila kay angelo nung kinukuha nila yung bata kay twinkle. tapos hindi manlang nila inisip na ayaw naman ni angelo sumama sa kanila, kapakanan ng bata my ass. the child wanted to be with his mother, the mother who he has known his whole life and the mother who raised him, its crazy na parang wala siyang choice sa kung sa kanino siya dapat sumama kasi its clear naman na mas gusto niya kay twinkle. super kapal ng mukha ni mara para ipamukha kay twinkle na siya ang nagluwal kay angelo as if that would automatically make her the mother — she is in technicality — pero hindi niya manlang naisip kung paano niya nasaktan yung sarili niyang anak for retracting her signature. i get that twinkle was being a bit unreasonable with her actions pero gets rin naman, mahal na mahal niya yung bata, literal na dugo at pawis niyang binuhay yung bata. sobrang frustrating lang sa part na oo lagi nga iniisip ni mara si angelo pero she didnt even do anything about it for all those years, kung hindi ba lumapit si twinkle sa kaniya para sa signature niya hahanapin niya ba si angelo? i was really rooting for twinkle to keep fighting for angelo pero gets ko rin naman kung bakit hindi kasi at the end of the day si angelo ang nasasaktan sa nangyayari. anyway this is such an incredible film, the first half i was literally laughing my ass off tapos by the last 30 minutes i was a sobbing mess. its sooo well acted din from vice ganda na sobrang deserved ang best actor, nadine lustre, and lucas andalio especially yung scene sa labas ng hospital, sobrang sakit. i really believe na this is truly vice’s best film because im ngl the films after girl, boy, bakla, tomboy has not been a hit on my side but this one is def a hit in all aspects. the film is beautifully shot as well, the camera works are *chef’s kiss*. i am so glad that vice and direk jun — im so excited for sisa direk! — kasi them as a team is actually really fucking incredible, i cannot wait for more collaborations. also just want to give a shoutout to my girl, klarisse, sobrang sobrang perfect for this movie please lalo na yung scene about sa secret na nalaman nila, halagapak talaga ang tawa ko at ng buong sinehan. so proud of my girl, i cant wait to see her do more incredible things!

Sinasayaw ko lang dati ‘tong Tala… ngayon, iniiyakan ko na.😭 Grabe, hanggang ngayon ramdam ko pa rin yung bigat at sakit nung “Tanod Scene.” ABS-CBN just found a hidden gem with Lucas Andalio—alam na alam niya kung paano patagin ang puso mo sa bawat eksena. Hands down, isa ito sa mga best films ni Meme Vice at Director Jun Lana! Compared sa ATBWI, this one feels way more cohesive—from title, poster, script, hanggang sa soundtrack. Yung color design pa lang, iykyk, sobrang thought-out. May tamang mix ng comedic timing at tear-jerking moments. Napaka-simple lang ng mensahe ng pelikulng ‘to, pero yung effort ng directors at actors made this film such an emotionally powerful experience—not perfect but with so much heart. P.S. Ang gwapo-gwapo ni Brent dito. Napakalakas din ng chemistry nina River at Nadine.
