Keeping my "loving this till the end" streak going. Seeing this in 3D in theaters ruled though, and I'm just mostly glad a lot of this held up over a decade later, even if I still wished the better star of Supernatural was in this role

felt like this was made for tv, like an unaired episode of supernatural. which is apt considering jensen ackles is the lead here.

I had only seen brief scenes of this apparently, since a majority of it was a brand new experience, which was honestly a lot of fun, since I actually really enjoyed this version of My Bloody Valentine. I remember seeing this film all the time at Blockbuster and always wanted to watch it, and those memories of walking through the aisles of Blockbuster started to come back, bringing back a ton of nostalgia. This still manages to distance itself from the original film, while keeping true to what the first film set up. I was expecting a sex-filled gore-filled film, which it was at times, but it actually was set up to be a lot of fun. It would be interesting to see the film in 3D, as it was intended to be shown that way, and many of the cheesey gimmicks shine through. My Bloody Valentine is a surprisingly good remake of a good slasher, and one that I’d love to revisit again in the future.

It’s a shame this film didn’t lean into the horror as much, since there’s a lot of good material here! It seems like the filmmakers were more concerned about keeping up the 3D aspect to create a compelling story. I still ended up having a decent time with it, I just wish they would’ve pushed for a better story in the end.

Olha vou dizer, Esse filme tinha tudo para ser um clássico, Mas honestamente eu morri de rir nesse filme, Apesar do orçamento ter focado no 3D vagabundo, Achei que em qualidade envelheceu bem, Porém em questões de roteiro achei uma bagunça só. Tem situações ali que não faz sentido algum, Mas eles fazem a gente engolir igual a dipirona, O que salva o filme realmente é ver o "tom" Estilo dean winchester do multiverso, Apesar de péssimas decisões do roteiro, Acho que vale apena para passar o tempo, E tomar sustos, é isso. Obs: o final é tão forçado meu deus

My Bloody Valentine (2009) es un remake que, al igual que su antecesora de 1981, se sumerge en el terreno del slasher, pero lo hace con una energía renovada y una mejor ejecución de los clichés que caracterizan al género. La historia, centrada en un asesino enmascarado que acecha a un grupo de personas en una pequeña localidad minera, mantiene el espíritu de su original, pero lo lleva a nuevas alturas de intensidad y brutalidad. La atmósfera está impregnada de una tensión constante, lograda gracias a un excelente uso de la iluminación y los ambientes oscuros, mientras que la música y el sonido contribuyen a incrementar la sensación de peligro inminente. Lo que realmente distingue a My Bloody Valentine de otros slashers contemporáneos es su capacidad para mantener al espectador interesado con una narrativa que, aunque simple, sabe cómo manejar los giros y las sorpresas.

It’s super dumb and definitely fun. It definitely loses something in the home experience not being able to experience all the 3D effects as much of the movie is made to cater to them.
