Maybe his hardest film to finish, Nostalgia is incredibly slow. I know that’s kind of the point, but my god does this drag. At the end there is a scene where a man walks back and fourth trying to get a candle from one side of a trench to the other. However, every time the candle goes out he restarts. This takes around 10 minutes but feels closer to half an hour. It’s a good film, no denying, and the imagery is beautiful as always. However, this is the first film of his I got little to no enjoyment from watching.

le film est pas parfait du tout, le début et la fin sont un peu trop longs et le message qu'a voulu partager le réal est pas très clair. Et pourtant ça m'a touché, je me suis retrouvé dans le personnage de jon hamm, dans ses réaction face aux objets/ évènements. en plus de ça c'est bien filmé et la musique est super bien choisie.

every time i see a tarkovsky restoration in theaters it’s like christmas. this guy rly might b god
