License to Drive
" I am so dead they're going to have to bury me twice." One of my favorite Coreys movies, a comfort movie that I fell asleep watching so many times in my childhood. Def had to show Bee this.
License to Drive
In the midst of a teenage boy's high school life is a car and a girl. To get the girl he's gotta have the car, and to get the car he's gotta have the license. Thus, enters License to Drive, putting cars and women at the center of attraction and presenting it all in a crazy 80s camp of senseless fun. With no license but only a foolish heart and hormones, Corey Haim "borrows" his parents' car for the night. Of course, trouble ensues for him and his friends, turning his night into one night to remember. Its the typical and mindless 80s teen droll you'd expect, and, thankfully, it isn't as barren as it really should be. This is cheap and tolerable fun, never excessive or dull; it's reckless entertainment for teens, especially the ones in the same bracket as Haim. I'm not saying it's good; I'm saying its totally fine in spite of how uninspiring it is. The 80s charm may have worked, too. 2.8/5
