Engaging enough, even if there’s not a single surprise in the entire film. Surprisingly well cast, Gooding and Leland fit perfectly, but Van Der Beek really does a great job as the sleazy new age mega church preacher. Managing to be scummy, and suitably menacing, it’s a shame this is his last film because it would be great to be able to see another 20 years of performances like thisfrom him. 2026 Ranked (https://boxd.it/RN1V4)
