I've been jonesing for another good "summer camp" movie (Friday the 13th is like the best so...). I had heard of Sleepaway Camp before, and finally got to watch it! It had the suspense. It had the horror. It had the horrid teenage kids. It had the crop tops (on the guys of course) and the short shorts (again on the boys). It was your typical 80's summer horror movie! What wasn't so typical was that ending. I don't want to spoil things, but WHAT HAPPENED AND WHAT DID I WATCH. That's all you'll get. It was a pretty good summer camp movie! I know that there are sequels, but I am not going to watch them. I'm fine seeing this one. And knowing that most sequels (especially unauthorized ones) are not as good as the first (Scream is the only exception right now).

Um excuse me but what? I already knew half of the twist towards the end but not the full part. Like I need some sort of explanation. This film was a lot weirder and strange than I was expecting. I was thinking it was just gonna be a Friday the 13th like film. Summer camp with a slasher killer. But it was so much weirder. Also surprisingly less graphic. The kills were pretty cool though. That bee one was probably the best. Some of the dialogue was pretty weird and random too. Angela is an interesting character props to her actress. This film felt way longer than 84 mins. This was so strange I don't know whether I love it or hate it. I would like the film (like button) but I can't decide lol. Still pretty enjoyable tho

I was expecting a trashy 80s slasher but this was genuinely great lol wow. I wish it hadn’t ended so suddenly but otherwise I really enjoyed it. 8/10

Cult of Personality 2024 (https://letterboxd.com/allbeef/list/cult-of-personality-2024/) #21 of 52 | Felissa Rose (https://letterboxd.com/actor/felissa-rose/) I tried to give this a second chance, but the end twist is really the only thing that makes this halfway decent. A couple of the "kills" are pretty gnarly and inventive though, I'll give them that.
