A dog's gruesomely killed, a Nice Guy spends wayyyyy too much time talking, and a homeless character is seen one time purely to mock the victim/hero of the story. But the ending's satisfying, Rachel Nichols gives a great performance as Angela when she gets to do stuff beyond "run for life", and there's an extended dance sequence to a Christmas song. Basically I didn't know whether to give this a 1 or a 5, each had equal reasons, so I'll just split the difference

one of my go-to thrillers for christmas

Merrily twisted fun inside a one-location thriller-horror that mostly takes place in a three level underground parking garage with the genius tagline that is "a new level of terror"—are you kidding me right now? Insane. Adding this to the yearly Christmas season watchlist because this deserves to be there, despite the tiny amount of holiday vibes—and heart-warming festivity for that matter—scattered throughout. Big ups to Wes Bentley as the sad parking attendant creeper + loner who kinda nailed it in a funny, shouty, and uncomfortable way.
