Control Freak

Okay either something really happened to my patience after December (very likely, given I've had a month-long cold and sprained ankle in the months since and I very much am Over Everything And Everyone), or a lot of filmmakers just decided they needed to make things that are paced a bit off or 20 minutes too long and repeating the same points/shots and I've just seen a lot of that in the last 3 months vs the prior full year and I'm starting to particularly lose patience for that the more I see it. Like this is actually a decent creepy baby's-first-body-horror depression film if there's even five less flashbacks of her mom drowning or two less instances of her trying and failing to restrain herself from scratching; I'm not dumb I promise, you've showed this exact scenario repeatedly already, I get it! You don't have to wrap it up but you don't have to blatantly pad this to reach a timer either! Loved the repeated camera-in-car shots of her speeding while scratching though. I know they did that like 10 times but that at least looked cool. Yeah I'm a hypocrite
