Autumn Sonata

Definitely my absolute favourite of Bergman’s. His way of illustrating a relationship between an estranged mother and her insecure child that she has never acknowledged, is something beautifully well-made, considering that Bergman is a man, this shows his insight on problems he may not even be familiar with himself. The complex conversations, the family dynamics, the relationships between Charlotte and Viktor, all have been crafted to perfection, with every detail included makes this film so enjoyable.
