Assistido no Cine Trash Muito curioso como ele é uma animação pra adulto, isso em todos os sentidos, violento, sem pudor, sem medo de falar ou mostrar as coisas mais escabrosas e extremamente político. Sim, cinema político. O grande motte de "O Gato Fritz" é ser um recorte muito específico de um tempo, de uma juventude e de uma ideia de mundo e conceitos revolucionários que dialoga com um tempo, mas também se debruça sobre algumas questões de uma juventude revoltada de uma época – aqui os anos 80 – onde tudo é revolução, onde tudo é subversão, a fulga do lugar comum, do que se espera da norma e ao mesmo tempo uma fulga das responsabilidades da vida. Fritz brinca de ser revolucionário, brinca de ser um guerreiro pelas causas, mas quando ele inicia uma revolta que leva a morte de vários, ele sai pela tangente. Existe uma questão de autocrítica aqui quando demonstra que a revolta violenta leva a destruição de todo um conceito de identidade e sociedade. Revolta sem direcionamento não muda nada, ao mesmo tempo que ele tem alguma quadros extremamente gráficos e outros que utilizam da animação pra momentos tão delicados. O queais prejudica esse aqui é que na reta final ele vira mais um Exploitation com violência gratuita e extremamente forte que só incomoda mesmo, mas definitivamente é um filme que marca. É o que o Twitter chamaria de "filme do mal" e isso é incrível.

Kids these days do not know the struggle of labor like we did back in the day, perfect anti-woke piece about how feminism gave women less choices over the course of the last few decades. It also exposes how academia inherently prep up the pseudo-intellectuals who base their whole entire worldview off a dead and decadent ideology of a 18th century hobo as if it has any basis in our current beautiful system of banking, money and capital. I watched this in my third condo apartment while reminiscing over that one sixteen year old and her twin sister I scored at Woodstock, not like gen laZy would know anything about that they just stay home all day and do nothing for the economy!

Wow. This is just an incredible piece of art. A movie about racism made in 1972 featuring quite a funny cat. In the movie we can see his daily life, a normal life for someone that lived in the 60s-70s. A life full of: "Sex, drugs and Rock 'n' roll!". In "Fritz the Cat" we can see the cops be represented as pigs, (very clever), black people by crows and white people by mostly cats, dogs, other pigs etc. In this "Picture" we can see "Fritz", (the protagonist), try and hang out with "Crows", but he is not socially accepted by the Crows, as Fritz's people have been utterly violent, and have only segregated the crows all throught history. With some well placed nudity, a lot of drug usage and some sex scenes here and there, this picture is still able to bring up important topics that resonate with society even in modern days, for exemple at some point we can see Fritz listening to the radio, and the podcasters on the radio channel bring up topics like the war between Israel and Palestine. With all of this said, I'm not going to spoiler anything else, but I truly shall say that this picture is limitless, a piece of art that never dies.
