Esse contraste da realidade aristocrata da Alice no início do filme - rigosoro, asseptico, regido por normas comportamentais mórbidas e conduzida por um movimento robótico de cena - com os contornos abstratos, os cenários surrealistas e a maleabilidade de espaço e corpo no país das maravilhas se revelam notavéis nessa ruptura entre o material e o psicodélico presente no livro de Carroll e (bem) assimilada por Burton aqui. (Agradecimentos à minha amiga, Wanessa, que me convenceu a dar uma segunda chance para esse filme.)

Omg this platform really drives me mad, I cannot stand how everybody hates every movie that's "mainstream" or popular, or basic, I think people just want to pretend they're unique and different, cause this movie is a fckng masterpiece and I will not discuss it. It is so beautifully looking (don't mind the horrendous cgi tho) it is fun to watch and It has a really special place in my heart, I love Mia wasasikowska with my soul and every movie she's on is perfect. This film just hugs myself and reminds me of when I was a little girl and I used to watch this movie on repeat.

Tim Burton killed it! I love everything about this wacky film: Johnny Depp, HBC, AH, the quirky dialogue and quips. Mia Wasikowska killed it as Alice as well. Sure, was the CGI a bit dodgy at times - yeah, and the settings looking a bit odd - of course, but it didn’t take too much away from this gem. It wasn’t distracting in the way some other films poor CGI is. This film is like a warm, and possibly strangling hug.

A estética é o ponto mais forte: design excêntrico e atmosfera sombria característica do diretor. Porém, o roteiro segue estrutura convencional demais para um universo que pede ousadia. Visualmente memorável, narrativamente irregular.
