The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
not rating it because i tried watching it last night and was half asleep the whole time and now i tried to rewatch it but i couldn't keep my focus on the film for more than 5 minutes so i'll rewatch it another time and actually pay attention
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
A monument of a film with one of the best battle sequences ever filmed, LOTRs part 2 is nearly as good as the first, just slightly behind in my rankings. Some of the is absolutely peak, but I can’t enjoy the scenes with the tree people (yes I know they’re not trees), as all their scenes feel like pure filler. Sure, it somewhat pays off at the end, but still isn’t enjoyable to sit through. Get us back at the battle for Helms Deep!
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
it's only a passing thing, this shadow. even darkness must pass. a new day will come. and when the sun shines, it'll shine out the clearer ✷ . ݁˖ AMAZING
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
tão bom quanto o primeiro!! os efeitos especiais desse filme, pra época são incríveis
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
Frodo and Sam are a married couple dealing with their traumatized adopted son, Gollum.
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
This is my least favorite LoTR film. Which I find to be completely weird. Usually, the middle film in a trilogy is the best. And this very well could be the best to some people but for me it's filler for the most part. It's the lull between starting the great adventure and the epic conclusion. However...The Battle of Helm's Deep? One of the greatest on action scenes ever put to film....ever.
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
Perhaps the weakest of the trilogy, The Two Towers serves as the calm before the storm. More setting up the final film, The Two Towers still is an amazing feat. Having more horror elements present, this film showed that the series was taking a darker turn. The film seemed to drag on a little more, with many parts seeming to take forever to get through, but the waiting ended up being worth it in the end. This film sets up the epic finale perfectly, while still keeping a focus on the great ensemble the film has. It's not the best film in the series, but The Two Towers is a great film before an epic finale.

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
Watched: Extended Edition (3 hours, 55 minutes) Alright, that rating is bound to make someone pissed off. Hear me out though! While this film is grand and epic in scale, it feels like a majority of side stories and major plot inconvenience. For starters, this film is much, much slower than "Fellowship" (a film that I felt had amazing pacing for an almost 4 hour film). This one however, drags it's feet a lot. Frodo (whom I felt was the main character of the last film) and Sam are sidelined hard in this. According to IMDB, Frodo (in the extended edition) only has 30 minutes of runtime in this almost 4 hour film! What the fuck! The focus here is on Rohan and The Battle of Helm's Deep. I don't like the Rohan subplot, nor am I a fan of Faramir capturing Frodo just to release him anyways. I just feel like it adds to how sluggish this one feels. The cgi (while sometimes impressive - looking at you water flooding effects) is also pretty wack. My sentiments are the same for the wonky green screen stuff. The make-up effects are way better though (or cgi? The Uruk-hai look awesome however they did it) It's cool seeing Chucky (Brad Dourif lol) in this and The Battle of Helm's Deep is pretty fucking cool...at times. The opening is strong and all scenes with Gandalf are great! Everything else is just sort of...there I guess I don't know. I felt disappointed with this one. Also, I technically started watching 11/16 but got tired 2 hours in so we finished it tonight
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
nothing changed with the glee in me when i was a kid seeing that one ent on fire dip his head at the surging water to put it out. that alone was Pure Cinema!
