Marvel Studios Assembled: The Making of Secret Invasion

I think I respect this series more in concept rather than execution. I did really want to like this a lot, an in some ways I certainly do. Samuel L Jackson is great as always, and most all the other cast does a fine job as well. The story starts very ambitiously, but falls into a mediocre political thriller, with very few hard hitting moments.

Marvel Studios Assembled: The Making of Secret Invasion

It had some good dialogue here and there like the train scene in episode 2 and the score was pretty good. I think those are the only good things I can say about this show.  I will not forgive Marvel for A: not making this a 3 hour long Avengers movie and B: coming up with the idea and showing small snippets of it at the end of people just killing people cause they think that they are Skrulls and not making that this show.

Marvel Studios Assembled: The Making of Secret Invasion

Yep, absolutely awful as expected. The intro is AI generated but it feels like the entire show is to be honest. A tired, lazy, boring attempt at a show. So much talent wasted yet again but marvel it’s actually crazy. It goes to show that no matter how much you spend on actors, it’s the writers and directors which ultimately matter, and for this they were terrible. The ending was a joke, two characters get the powers of every MCU character and then one of them dies 2 minutes later. Like what were they thinking? It all just feels so stupid and silly, and apparently the budget was over £200million. Maybe this is money laundering at this point, because surly Disney is actually losing money on these shows.

Marvel Studios Assembled: The Making of Secret Invasion

40/100 Why did I ever expect this to be the Andor of Marvel!?!??!  Andor got better with every episode and had so much emotional depth but this shit got worse with every episode and what was with the reducing length? This is a movie. I think it’s probably shorter than Endgame. Not a show worth waiting weekly for!

Marvel Studios Assembled: The Making of Secret Invasion

Honestly one of the worse disney plus shows I actually enjoyed so many over this. Not even close to what you would expect from the title Secret Invasion. Absolutely anti climatic, this show doesn't even matter cause the ending literally changed absolutely nothing in the storyline. The only redeeming factor is the performances by the cast. Besides that this is dry boring mcu. There are some ok action scenes and I'm glad this has more blood than normal mcu stuff. But it really could've been better. Kingsley Ben-Adir is great as Gravik but he doesn't get enough time to shine before his character is killed off. Emilia Clarke is good too but her character has like barely anything going on in most of this. I think I'm finally starting to notice the decline in the mcu.

Marvel Studios Assembled: The Making of Secret Invasion

It’s fine I guess. Kinda boring most of the time. I didn’t like some of the decisions that were made and the final battle was kinda disappointing. It was nice to see Fury back but I can’t help being disappointed that there weren’t more people who were revealed to be Skrulls. 6/10
