I wish I was violently under the influence of something
Koyaanisqatsi
Watched in reverse. What a beautiful take, in the inverse way.

After this odyssey... my life now makes more sense.
Koyaanisqatsi
Life. Death. Rebirth.
Koyaanisqatsi
A lot can be written about this. Creation. Destruction. Creation. But the sheer beauty of the film is what it exhibits. Revels in. Without needing to say anything. Goosebumps and gasps throughout, along with Philip Glass’s orchestration, it’s life on full blast, through time and history, life and waste. A thing like this can never be recreated. I could watch this over and over again.

CRITERION CHALLENGE #12 JUDGE A FILM BY ITS COVER ________ real awesome looking (and sounding) film. an audiovisual experience if there ever was one. conjures up a lot of different feelings and honestly i feel like a lot of it is up to the viewer to take away meaning from with the lack of a dialogue to tell the viewer what to think. though i’d wager the interpretation of the film as being a critique on society holds up well. not just because of what the title is revealed to mean at the end, but the film’s pivot from long, relaxing takes of nature to increasingly chaotic scenes of modern urban life. it’s all still very beautiful to look at in a way though.
Koyaanisqatsi
Poetic cinema.

i tried to think of a reason to give this literally any other rating, and i have nothing. less a movie than a visual and auditory masterpiece, the best two nights of my life and something i need to experience in the las vegas sphere asap.
