What a film! Almost perfect in every way. The acting is second to non, and I only found out after that they are farther and daughter in real life, which makes the whole thing even more impressive. A heartwarming story, for a couple of crooks they don’t do bad at all. Oh, and he still owes her $200.

A film with a ton of charm, Paper Moon certainly worked on me. This film went by in the blink of an eye, and it feels like there was so much packed into the runtime. It’s quick, funny, and heartwarming, exactly what I needed today. I’m glad that I’ve been able to explore some of Bogdanovich’s films, since he really is a great director from what I’ve seen.

glad i can sorta move past my little 2025 oscar nominee binge i was doing this week to watch some other films pretty cute and sweet movie, liked a lot of the dialogue exchanges in this. works well to have an actual father-daughter duo playing something like that in the movie, because that dynamic carries through on screen. cool that tatum o’neal was the youngest actress to win an oscar! she does very well in this, very charming. the unexpected appearance of madeline kahn in a supporting role (who i knew i recognized from somewhere: turns out it was Clue) was a welcome surprise.
