Drunken Master

- i remember this movie when i was younger. we only had a dvd copy in our household, because we mistook it for what we actually wanted, which was lau kar-leung's the legend of the drunken master (1994). - how we didn't catch that as a unit, i have no idea. in my defense, i was a kid, saw "drunken master" in the title, and saw jackie chan on the cover. 🤷🏿‍♂️ - i grew to love it, though. ended up being something i'd watch on a quiet sunday when mom and dad were away. - it was much funnier than the legend to me, and it was the youngest i'd seen jackie on-screen. plus, jackie played an asshole so well; i was amazed. even through the english dub (which is the only version i've seen), his facial expressions and use of physical comedy--as always--showed through phenomenally. - and young hoodrat jackie is forever a favorite jackie.
