The Rescuers Down Under

No Disney production in the revival era is slept on, but this one certainly feels left in the shadow of the others. Maybe there just wasn't enough sing-songin' for it to be properly accorded Renaissance status. I must have re-watched this as much as Aladdin and the others, if not more so. Like with the '77 Rescuers it just boils down to the animation for me, just.... I feel like that's all we did with these movies back then, just endless rewinding to watch the antics unfold over and over and over, pausing on great individual faces and moments, listening to Scott's perfect voice tiredly exclaim "...Joanna" or anything else, John Candy's panic at the doctor's office, the scaling of mouse-vs-world action, and so on and on.
