I don't think that there is a film that is able to transport me to my childhood as easily as High School Musical does. Growing up, I was never one to love musicals, but I thought they were really fun. It wasn't until High School Musical 2 came out that I realized that I really did enjoy musicals. Ever since, I have had a love for movie musicals. While it may be extremely generic and cliched, High School Musical holds a very special and dear place in my heart. I grew up watching this film, as well as almost every other person in my generation. This is a childhood film that everyone can enjoy and everyone knows. It's hard to escape High School Musical if you're young, but it's definitely a film that brings you back.
