Reviews forPretty Lethal
There's nothing’s more “pretty lethal” than Uma Thurman with a Hungarian accent.

Going in, I had pretty low expectations because of the reviews, and honestly, it’s easy to see why. It’s hard to root for anyone when most of the characters are borderline unbearable. Emma Thurman’s comeback projects have definitely been hit or miss lately. But beyond the rough edges, I can’t lie and say I didn’t have a good time watching it. You can actually sense what the director was going for. It doesn’t always land, and the execution can be messy at times. Some scenes come off a bit silly, but weirdly enough, that adds to the film’s campy charm. It leans into its own chaos, even when it doesn’t fully work. Still, there’s something oddly entertaining about it. It may not be polished, but it has a certain personality that keeps you watching. And that last scene? Definitely the highlight. Simple, but unexpectedly touching, and a nice way to end all the madness.
